We
believe there is a perfect cruise line for everybody. Cruise lines'
personalities are as different as night and day. So choosing the right one is
essential; if you've heard a story from one of the tiny minority of people who
didn't enjoy a cruise, most likely they were booked on a cruise line that didn't
fit their personality.
Here you'll find our
not-necessarily-objective opinions of each of our favorite cruise lines,
ranging from Windstar's computerized sailing ships to Crystal's ultra-elegant
small liners. For most lines, you can even browse through selected itineraries.
If you're looking for a line that's not listed here, it's likely that we can
still offer you a great price; Get in
touch with us. We'll be happy to help! Remember, Global Services, Inc. has lower
rates than the cruise line's reservation department. Call GSI Today or when you
are ready to book your cruise vacation.

Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival pioneered
the "Fun Ship" concept that has made them the world's most popular cruise
line. Featuring very large ships that are among the most spectacular afloat,
on a Carnival cruise you'll be able to have fun into the wee hours in a
high-energy, Las Vegas-style atmosphere, and "Today's Carnival" offers much
more...
Highlights. A Carnival cruise features
fine dining, midnight buffets on 4+ night cruises, casual alternative
restaurants, 24-hour room service, Internet Cafe, supervised Camp Carnival
program for kids 2-15, a large variety of live entertainment, a singles
cocktail party, well-equipped Spa Carnival, casino, at least three pools,
onboard duty-free shopping, and first-run movies. Carnival's newest ships
add truly gourmet dining in a reservations-only Supper Club and sushi bar
(extra charges may apply). There's so much to do aboard a Carnival ship that
you can have a different vacation every day: from active challenges like
kickboxing or volleyball, to the laid-back warmth of sunning on deck or a
relaxing massage, or learning experiences like art auctions, dance classes
and wine tasting.
Who Loves Carnival? A great choice for
singles, honeymooners, couples and families, Carnival may not be the best
choice if you prefer small ships.
Locations. Carnival sails year-round
in the Caribbean, and also offers itineraries to Alaska, the Bahamas,
Mexican Riviera, Panama Canal, New England and Hawaii.
Pricing. A Carnival cruise starts at
about $120 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.
More Information.
Please remember that our prices will almost always be lower than those that
you see on Carnival's Web site.

Celebrity Cruises. In our opinion,
Celebrity is the best-kept secret of cruising. Less well-known in the United
States, Celebrity offers a thoroughly upscale premium experience, featuring
gourmet food, beautiful contemporary ships, and reasonable prices. Only
super-premium lines like Crystal and Seabourn deliver a more elegant
experience than Celebrity, but at a significantly higher cost.
Highlights. Celebrity's dining rooms
are outstanding, as are the midnight buffets and alternative restaurants.
Their beautiful ships feature a modern decor and interesting hideaways like
cigar, martini, wine and sports bars. You'll enjoy the 24-hour room service,
supervised programs for kids 3-17 (most ships), nightly shows, plus live
music and comedy, the AquaSpa spas (most of which feature Thalassotherapy
seawater baths), casino, pools, duty-free boutiques, and first-run movies.
Who Loves Celebrity? Celebrity is
great for couples of any age who appreciate a more upscale cruise,
first-time and experienced cruisers, families, and honeymooners looking for
a more sophisticated experience. It may not be a good choice if you prefer
small ships or want non-stop late-night parties.
Locations. Celebrity sails in the
Caribbean, Alaska, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Canada/New England, Europe, Mexico,
South America, and the Panama Canal.
Pricing. Starts at about $155 per day
per person, including port charges, but excluding airfare.
More Information. Please remember that our prices will almost always
be lower than those that you see on Celebrity's Web site.

Costa Cruises. Costa's unique
Italian-themed cruises offer an excellent, reasonably priced alternative to
the "big names" in Caribbean and European cruising, on mid-size to large
ships. Drawing its customer base from around the world, Costa delivers a
more European cruise experience with its emphasis firmly in Italy.
Understated, modern, almost Scandinavian decor on board eschews the neon,
glitzy "theme park" look found on some other lines.
Highlights. Costa is not kidding about
its "Cruising Italian Style" theme! You may be greeted by a Buon Viaggio
Celebration and bid farewell with a Bacchanal Parade. In between you might
get to join a Roman toga party (sheets provided!), practice tossing pizza,
and play bocce. Usually made fresh on board daily, Costa's pasta is
plentiful and delicious at mealtime, complementing a continental menu.
Who Loves Costa? If you're in the mood
for Italian-style hospitality, and enjoy meeting people from around the
globe, then you'll like Costa. On most sailings Costa offers a fun kids'
program with morning, afternoon and evening events. Costa may not be the
right choice for those who demand gourmet food or the ultimate in
white-glove service.
Locations. Costa's ships primarily ply
the waters of the Caribbean and Europe.
Competition. Compare to Carnival,
Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $120 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.
More Information. Please remember that
our prices will almost always be lower than those that you see on Costa's
Web site.

View a VIDEO of
the Crystal Experience
Crystal Cruises. Arguably the finest
cruise line afloat, Crystal pampers its guests in ultimate luxury on
1,000-passenger ships, the Serenity and Symphony. The ships
wander throughout the world over the course of a year, meaning that if you
plan ahead, you can visit just about anywhere a cruise ship would dock.
Crystal consistently garners many top cruise line awards in its size
category.
Highlights. Crystal is the best of
both worlds; incredible service normally associated with small ships, with
the onboard amenities of a large ship. Activities aboard cater to Crystal's
upscale clientele, such as Crystal Visions Enrichment Lecture Series,
Crystal Wine & Food Festival and Computer University at Sea, an enrichment
lecture series, and the only Caesar's Palace casinos at sea. Truly gourmet
food is delivered consistently; you can even look forward to afternoon tea
served in black tie and tails. On-board entertainment ranges from classical
quartet to talent-filled cabaret shows or award-winning Broadway-style
production musicals.
Who Loves Crystal? World travelers and
anyone looking for the pinnacle of the cruise experience will enjoy Crystal.
It won't be a good choice if you're looking for non-stop action or a very
casual environment.
Locations. Crystal's two ships wander
the globe, including Africa, Asia, Alaska/Canada, the Caribbean, Bermuda,
Mexican Riviera, Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Panama Canal, Australia, New
Zealand, and South America.
Competition. Compare to Cunard,
Silversea, Radisson Seven Seas, and Seabourn.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $250 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.
More Information. Please remember that our prices will almost
always be lower than those that you see on Crystal's Web site.

Cunard. Cunard defines traditional
cruising on their ships the Queen Elizabeth 2, and the world's
largest and most expensive cruise ship ever in 2004, the Queen Mary 2.
Since 1840, Cunard's ships have delivered a classic British experience.
Although luxurious and top-rated, Cunard cruises can be surprisingly
affordable, with a wide range of categories. Many consider a Trans-Atlantic
voyage on the Queen Mary 2, which is the only ship regularly crossing the
Atlantic, to be the pinnacle of cruising. Cunard even includes return
airfare on these crossings in most pricing.
Highlights. Cunard's opulent ships
offer elegance and sophistication throughout, whether considering dining,
entertainment, or on-board facilities. For example, on the Queen Mary 2 you
can enjoy gourmet fare in the Todd English Restaurant, or luxurious spa
treatments in the Canyon Ranch SpaClub. On the QE2, the class of
service you book will dictate your dining room and lounge; and as a further
throwback to a bygone era, even a kennel and garage are available.
Who Loves Cunard? Anyone comfortable
in a very sophisticated atmosphere, with expectations for attentive service,
will enjoy a Cunard cruise.
Locations. In addition to the flagship
Trans-Atlantic route, Cunard's ships ply the waters worldwide, including
Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, South America, Africa, Europe, the Baltic,
Scandinavia/Russia, New England/Canada, the Panama Canal, Asia and
Australia.
Competition. Compare to Silversea,
Crystal, Seabourn and Radisson Seven Seas.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $280 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.
More
Information. Please remember that our prices will almost
always be lower than those that you see on Cunard's Web site.

Disney Cruise Line. Since its inception
in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has delighted families at sea in the same way as
the Disney theme parks have done on land. The Magic and Wonder
are large new ships designed to Disney's specifications, providing 3-, 4-
and now 7-night Caribbean cruises. The 3- and 4-night cruises frequently are
combined with 3- and 4-night Walt Disney World stays to create a 7-night
vacation package.
Highlights.
Larger-than-average staterooms, a new dining
room experience each night, a variety of musical stage shows, plenty of kids
activities, and adults-only areas (e.g., pool and whirlpool). You'll find
thoughtful features for families throughout, such as a split bathroom in
most cabins. Disney makes the transition between the cruise and Walt Disney
World portions of the vacation seamless and painless (e.g., your cabin key
also opens your Disney hotel room door). Plenty of activities targeted at
kids.
Who Loves Disney? If you like Disney
on land, you've love Disney at sea! Not as many activities for singles and
couples as other cruise lines.
Locations. Caribbean.
Competition. Compare to Carnival,
Royal Caribbean and Norwegian.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $135 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.
More Information.
Please remember that our prices will almost always be lower than those that
you see on Disney's Web site.

Holland America. The most elegant of the
premium cruise lines, Holland's approximately 1,200- to 1,400-passenger
ships boast amazing works of art throughout. Holland is well-known for
having larger-than-average staterooms--even the least-expensive inside
cabins are appreciably bigger than the competition's. The overall cruise
experience is understated and traditional.
Highlights. You'll receive outstanding
service from Indonesian staff specially trained by Holland at their school
in Jakarta. Food quality and presentation are both excellent. Diverse
entertainment ranges from Las Vegas and Broadway-style shows to Dick Clark's
New Year's Rockin' Eve and Country Jamboree night.
Who Loves Holland? Holland caters to
the experienced, professional traveler seeking a sophisticated, relaxed and
refined environment.
Locations. With Holland, you can visit
Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, the Panama Canal, Canada/New
England, and South America. Holland also offers a World Cruise (embark on
some or all of it) that includes exotic stops such as Asia, Africa and
India.
Competition. Compare to Celebrity and
Princess.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $150 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.

Norwegian Cruise Line. NCL invented
Freestyle Cruising, a terrific concept giving you maximum flexibility to do
what you want, when you want. No fixed dining seating's, lots of restaurant
choices, entertainment options, comfortable dress code, and even a more
relaxed debarkation process are all included. NCL's ships are large,
well-equipped, and sail worldwide. A leader in Hawaii, NCL's
American-flagged ships now can cruise inter-island without having to stop at
foreign port.
Highlights. Ships boasting up to 10
different, diverse restaurants mean that in a 7-night cruise you won't have
enough time to eat dinner at them all! You might find cuisine such as tapas,
Teppanyaki tables, Italian, French, and even a sushi bar. Relax in your
cabin until you need to debark on the last morning of your cruise. Easily
charge gratuities to your onboard account--no more worrying about cash and

choice for first-time cruisers, people looking for lots of activity aboard,
anyone interested in one of the themed cruises, and families.
Locations. NCL brings you worldwide to
Alaska, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Europe, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, and South
America.
Competition. Compare to Carnival and
Royal Caribbean.
Pricing. Brochure pricing starts at
about $120 per day per person, including port charges, but excluding
airfare.

Orient Lines. Ever wanted to see the
Antarctic? In addition to sailing to the Greek Isles and the Mediterranean,
Orient Lines sets itself apart as a "destination-oriented" line that visits
some of the more fascinating nooks and crannies on all seven continents.
Very cool! The Marco Polo--with an ice-strengthened hull--visits smaller
ports of call, yet a relatively deep draft provides more stability.
Highlights. A Best Cruise Value
of the World Ocean and Cruise Liner Society, most Orient Lines itineraries
include complete cruise-tour packages, which add pre- and/or post-cruise
hotel stays to enhance your trip. Orient Lines combines the best of the
mega-liners (resort features like a show lounge, casino, nightclub, and
shipboard activities) with the ability of their mid-size ships to scoot into
ports not frequented by the larger ships.
Who Loves Orient Lines? Seasoned
travelers wanting to visit off-the-beaten-track ports of call, at fair
prices, will enjoy Orient Lines. On the other hand, families with kids, or
people looking for non-stop parties, may find that Orient Lines does not
cater to their needs.
Locations. Orient Lines sails to all
seven continents and offers regularly scheduled service to Antarctica, in
addition to Egypt, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand,
South America, the Panama Canal and South Pacific.

ships--from 684 passengers to 2,600--that are among the most spectacular
afloat. Princess offers a mix of traditional and progressive entertainment,
and excellent meals with an Italian flair.
Highlights. The Personal Choice
Cruising concept delivers 24-hour dining, more balconies than any other
fleet, a wide variety of activities, alternative dining choices, and more
space and crew per passenger. Even on the largest Princess ships, the
design of public rooms and pool areas maintain a feeling of intimacy. Rather
than a single large dining room, pool or theater, Princess ships frequently
offer several. Princess has great kids programs and excellent accessibility
for the disabled. For Alaska cruise tours, Princess' custom Ultra Dome rail
cars (from Anchorage to Denali to Fairbanks) are among the largest and
best-appointed.
Who Loves Princess? Princess is one of
our favorite lines. It combines a classy, classic cruise experience with
friendly, fun on-board staff, on beautiful ships. Anyone looking for an
upscale, but not stuffy, cruise is likely to enjoy Princess.
Locations. Princess offers world-wide
itineraries, including Alaska, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico, South
America, Africa, Europe, the Baltic, Hawaii, Scandinavia/Russia, New
England/Canada, the Panama Canal, Asia and Australia.

Royal Caribbean International. Royal
Caribbean's large ships are easily recognized by their signature Viking
Crown Lounge, a round panoramic observation desk, bar and nightclub set atop

on all Royal Caribbean ships, the Voyager-class sister ships (Voyager,
Explorer, Mariner, Navigator, and Adventure of the Seas) add a huge interior

Silversea. Having earned the number-one
spot on Conde Nast's annual list of top travel experiences twice in a
row, Silversea has reason to call itself the world's undisputed best cruise
